(3) The top one is an ornamental grass (bears flowers)... is the one on the bottom just grass?
(4) Land lily pads? Or weeds?

Friend or Foe?
It is much easier to kill weeds than grow plants I've realized. Before I go forward killing more things in the hodge podge perennial garden I've adopted I thought I'd check in with Shannon's faithful followers to see if anybody could tell me what to pull or not to pull. Anybody know? Thanks in advance. -Tara
