Now looking for renters...

On Easter Sunday, Jeremy's dad surprised us with a wood duck house and a blue bird house! Jim is an amazing woodsman and made both.  The houses are beautifully created and hand stained. The houses make the yard look that much more beautiful.

Last year there was one set of wood ducks that would visit the pond. This year Jeremy has seen two sets  and we would love for one set to stay. Hopefully it is early enough that they will see the new house and decide this is the yard they should raise their little one(s). We have a pond with lots of frogs and a huge yard that they can use however they would like, if they decide to rent!

Those are lovely bird/duck boxes (I never knew ducks nested so high up!) Keep us updated, I'd love to see pictures of cute little duckilings in a couple of months time! :)

I am hoping we can get a few pictures inside the box if they nest in it. From what I've heard, after they hatch, the little wood ducks crawl up the box(there is a mesh sheet against the inside for them to use) and just throw themselves out of the hole when they are ready to leave the nest! Then they make their way over to the water. So excited :) *Tara when you come home we'll just sit on the back porch and watch the birds!
